Oil Field Metal Silhouettes by Nick Ksenych
The Ocean Star is happy to present
a new line of oil field metal silhouettes created by
Nick Ksench. Mr. Ksenych worked for Loffland Brothers
on the second wildcat well drilled in Saskatchewan,
Canada in 1953. He continued in the land based oil
business until 1962 progressing from roughneck to
toolpush. After moving to the United States Nick opened
a laser manufacturing company in South Dakota where he
manufactures a variety of industrial products. In
between manufacturing jobs Nick utilizes the artistic
skills of his daughter Terry and son Tod to create metal
silhouettes based on his oil field memories. The
Ocean Star is now expanding that line to include the
offshore oil industry of today.
