Luke R. Corbett
The Offshore Energy Center
honors Luke R. Corbett with its 2004 Pinnacle Award.
Corbett began his career
with Kerr-McGee in 1985 and served in positions of increasing
responsibility. In 1995, he was appointed President and COO, and two
years later, he became Kerr-McGee’s fourth chairman and CEO since it was
founded in 1929.
Under Corbett’s direction,
Kerr-McGee has become one of the largest U.S.-based oil and gas
exploration and production companies and the world’s third-largest
producer and marketer of titanium dioxide pigment.
Corbett believes in giving
back to the community and actively serves on the boards of numerous
