2000 Pinnacle Award

Richard A. Pattarozzi

The Offshore Energy Center is proud to make Rich Pattarozzi the first recipient of its Pinnacle Award. Pattarozzi graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in civil engineering. He served as President of Shell Deepwater Development and Production companies in the Gulf of Mexico, retiring as Vice President of Shell Offshore Inc. Pattarozzi helped develop solutions to deepwater challenges never previously tackled and made the setting of deepwater records routine. He has driven many remarkable achievements from deepwater drilling and completion techniques, to high pressure wellheads and umbilical, to innovative floating production facilities.
