Earth's EnergyThis outstanding TEKS-aligned program introduces students to the scope of sciences associated with offshore energy, engaging in science, technology and social studies objectives as they learn about rock and carbon cycles, how hydrocarbons are formed, the history and uses of petroleum and natural gas, offshore drilling technology and environmental issues. Students also are exposed to the various career opportunities in the offshore energy industry including petroleum geologist, geophysicist, driller, offshore installation manager and hydraulic technician.
