Wes St. Jon has been writing and playing music since his childhood.  While entertaining in the state of Louisiana he became friends with many oil field workers and discovered that as a whole, oilfield workers were the most unappreciated group in the country.  He decided to tell their story to the world through song.  After spending six months doing research on the language and terminology of the oil field, Wes wrote ten songs, moved to Nashville Tennessee in order to record, and gave birth to the album Oilfield Cowboy.
